The Mountain Rescue Association is an internationally recognized accreditation organization created by volunteers from search and rescue teams throughout the world.

• ASTM

The American Society for Testing and Materials is respected worldwide for standards in many fields. We are a participant on the committee currently working on national Search and Rescue standards. There are several competing sets of national standards for Search and Rescue being developed at this time by different organizations. The ASTM standards are being written with the full participation of Search and Rescue members and teams.

• NASAR

The National Association for Search and Rescue.
