Rigging for Rescue in Semi-Technical Terrain
This intermediate to advanced level workshop is designed to provide mountain rescuers the tools and principles to manage semi-technical terrain with ambulatory patients. Vertical cliffs and horizontal trails generally have straightforward solutions, but semi-technical terrain can be ambiguous and often requires physically and technically demanding solutions to move efficiently. This workshop will offer hands-on practice of simple, quick, and ligthweight solutions applicable to 3rd/4th class rock terrain as well as steep snow, ice, and embankments. Maximum of 12 participants with a 4:1 ratio to allow individualized coaching and instruction.
