Join Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Board Of Directors
The SAR Board of Directors has a few open seats. Serving on the Board is a volunteer position and a fantastic way to give back to the Salt Lake County community.
Please apply by Sept 1st, 2022.
We are looking for applicants with the following experience:

Nonprofit legal, rules and regulations
-
Government policy and advocacy
-
Executive administration and management
-
Serving on nonprofit Boards
As a board member, we ask that you commit to the services outlined below as the minimum requirements:

Attend at least 65% (this will normally be 4 out of 6) of the board meetings per year.

Periodic emails are sent with information pertinent to the success of the SAR. Responses are required

As stated in each respective email in a timely manner.

Represent the SAR positively whenever possible, understanding the gravity of your stated opinions at SAR-related events and community engagements.
The SAR encourages interested parties to apply. As current board members fulfill their board terms, new seats will become available on a rolling basis. New board members will be brought on to fulfill the organization’s needs.

Services
What We Can Do For You
The Team is responsible for all search and rescue missions within Salt Lake County. It also provides mutual aid to other counties. The team is designated as an emergency medical services provider by the state of Utah. All services are provided free of charge.
Preventative Search and Rescue – PSAR
SLCOSAR members conduct many PSAR events throughout the year all over the valley.
Outdoor Safety Tips
SLCOSAR Team encourages everyone to be prepared when they venture into the outdoors.
